ImageAs stated each week in our worship bulletins, our congregation does not obtain direct church tax income as do German-speaking congregations within the mainstream Catholic and Protestant churches. In order to continue our work, we are therefore dependent on donations from members. These can of course be made via the offering basket, but many people prefer to ensure their regular giving by means of a direct bank debit arrangement.

The church account details are as follows:
Account No. 141 32 36 "Englische Gemeinde",
Sparkasse Bochum, Sorting Code / BLZ: 430 500 01

It would however be helpful if members could contact treasurer Ulrich Schwarz (Tel. 799695) for further information before making such direct debit arrangements.

Legally, our congregation is not (yet) authorised to issue tax-relief certificates (Spendenbescheinigungen) for donations received. If you require such a certificate, your donation should be made via the German-speaking congregation which can issue them. Their account details are:
Account No. 414 132 53 "Ev. Kirchengemeinde Bochum",
Sparkasse Bochum, Sorting Code / BLZ: 430 500 01

It is important that the "Verwendungszweck" on the bank transfer form for such donations contain the words "Pauluskirche" and "Englische Gemeinde". Don't forget your full address so that the tax relief certificate can be sent to you. This method is not suitable for regular or frequent giving, but does work well with "one-off" donations. Again, it is advisable before undertaking such transactions to contact treasurer Ulrich Schwarz to clarify the necessary details.
